In the spring of 2022 in a course in advanced surface modeling, we got the task of modeling a car of our choice in Autodesk Alias and render images and videos in VRED in groups of two. We choose the Rivian R1T for our project. Here are some of the renders from the projects that I personally made.
Automotive Modeling
The Rivian R1T was chosen for a school project in advanced CAD and surface modeling. The car was modeled in Autodesk Alias with a focus on achieving a predefined shape with surface continuity, as well as modeling as many details as possible.
Automotive Rendering
After the car was modeled in Alias it was transferred to VRED for material application and rendering. HDRs were used to put the vehicle in a realistic environment. The resulting renders can be viewed below.
